Adoration is the worship of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, present in the Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist.  This is an extension of the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament which occurs in every Mass: "Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who takes away the sins of the world. Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb." Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament flows from the sacrifice of the Mass and serves to deepen our hunger for Communion with Christ and the rest of the Church.  The Rite concludes with the ordained minister blessing the faithful with the Blessed Sacrament.  At St. Aloysius, the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, with Benediction, is celebrated in the main Church following Mass on the first Wednesday morning of every month, after Mass on every Thursday morning, and in the Chapel throughout the day on the third Saturday of each month. Holy Hours may be kept in the Church or Chapel at times other than scheduled Exposition, which is the devotional tradition of spending an hour in Eucharistic Adoration in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. A variety of holy hours that focus our prayer to Jesus Christ on peace, life, vocations, and other topics that are at the heart of the life of the Church and the world are available from the USCCB.

Come, Lord Jesus! is a program based on prayer, Scripture, Eucharist and community as in Acts 2:42. It evangelizes its members in small faith communities the way Jesus did. Members meet weekly to reflect upon and discuss the Sunday Scripture readings. They are led to a personal knowledge of Jesus as they fulfill the mission of the Come, Lord Jesus program which is to be transformed into the very image and likeness of Jesus Christ. The Rosary is a beloved devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, focusing on several sets of “Mysteries,” or scenes from the life of Christ and His Mother. Groups meet to pray the Rosary at various times throughout the week.  Click here for a simple guide to praying the rosary.
